Consent for Treatment

Informed Consent

Before commencing treatment, you will be asked to provide informed consent. This means:

  • We will explain your diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
  • You will have the opportunity to ask questions
  • Potential risks and benefits will be discussed
  • You may withdraw consent at any time

Parental Consent

For patients under 16 years of age, parental or guardian consent is required for assessment and treatment. Parents/guardians must be present during paediatric assessments and treatment sessions.

Photography & Video Consent

Photographs or videos may be taken for clinical documentation purposes only, with your explicit consent. These will never be shared publicly or used for marketing without separate written permission.

Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy

We understand that unexpected circumstances arise. However, to respect everyone's time and ensure appointment availability for all patients, we have the following policy:

48-Hour Cancellation Notice Required

Advance Cancellation (48+ hours notice)

No charge. Free to reschedule or cancel.

Late Cancellation (Less than 48 hours notice)

100% of session fee will be charged.

This allows us to potentially offer the slot to another patient.

Missed Appointment (No notice)

100% of session fee will be charged.

Failure to attend without prior notification results in full charge.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment:

Emergency or Illness: We understand genuine emergencies and acute illness happen. Please contact us to discuss - we handle these situations with compassion and flexibility.

MSK & Sports Physio operates in accordance with the standards set by professional regulatory bodies including:

  • Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
